Calculations for a Steel Beam for Removal of an Internal Loadbearing Wall

We designed a simply supported beam for one of our regular clients, a RIBA Chartered Architect, for the removal of an internal loadbearing wall to extend the kitchen space to create an open plan kitchen/dining area.

Working from our clients detailed Architectural plans and survey sketches/note we designed a suitable and cost effective steel beam and padstones to suit the span and loading conditions.
